Treatment planning and delivery practice of lung SBRT: Results of the 2022 ESTRO physics survey
Lung cancer is the second most commonly diagnosed cancer worldwide and is the leading cause of cancer death for both men and women [1]. Surgery is the standard treatment for early-stage non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), the most common type of lung cancer, with five-year survival rates of around 70% [2]. However, many patients are unsuitable for surgery [2] or decline surgery [3] and therefore alternative options for these patients are needed.
