Electrocatalytic Conversion of N2In article number2309007, Ying Zhou and co-workers provide a localized electron structure modulation strategy to develop an excellent electrocatalyst to enhance ammonia synthesis. The vacancy-mediated modulation of local electronic structure promotes the activation of nitrogen, thus accelerating the N2 to NH3 electrocatalytic conversion. Vacancies on the PdCu/TiO2 −x catalyst emulate soybean rhizobia's nitrogen-fixing enzymes, simulating enzyme system synergy.
