Prediction of severe ventricular arrhythmias in mitral valve prolapse patients by exercise ECG
Mitral valve prolapse (MVP) is a common condition (prevalence 2-3 %)1, with a good prognosis. However, some MVP patients experience severe ventricular arrhythmias (VA). Identifying patients at risk is challenging and evidence is sparse. The predictive role of exercise testing in MVP has not been investigated. We aimed to explore whether exercise ECG could predict subsequent severe VA in MVP patients.
