The synergistic potential of hydrogen inhalation and hyperbaric oxygen therapy

We read with great interest the review by Lee and colleagues, in which the authors describe the use of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) as a novel adjunctive treatment to standard treatment for spinal cord injury (SCI) after complex aortic repair (CAR).1 HBOT is a revolutionary therapy for many postsurgical complications such as SCI after CAR. We are curious to know if the authors considered hydrogen inhalation therapy (HIT) in combination with HBOT.
