30 Outcomes and Patient Satisfaction from an Established Virtual Lung Nodule Clinic (II) at Torbay Hospital, Devon

Lung nodules identified from CT examination are common, often resulting in over investigation. Extended follow up periods and hospital attendance can lead to patient anxiety and inconvenience, with an impact on quality of life and demand on resources. In 2018 it was found the Virtual Lung Nodule Clinic (VLNC) was a streamlined service, reducing the need for multiple face to face appointments, with high patient satisfaction. As current literature suggests those of increased age and comorbidity are more likely to die from a cause other than their lung nodule, we aim to describe patient satisfaction through questionnaires but also through using age stratification as a surrogate marker for comorbidities and life expectancy examine patient outcomes and fast track outcomes from the VLNC.
