Letter to the Editor regarding “Does delay from injury to surgery increase the risk of dislocation of a hip hemiarthroplasty?”

We read with great interest the article entitled “Does delay from injury to surgery increase the risk of dislocation of a hip hemiarthroplasty?” by Jacob et al1. They conducted an important study to extrapolate the effect of delay in surgical time on the occurrence of postoperative dislocation in hemiarthroplasty (HA) and concluded that a dela y in surgical time increases the risk of dislocation, with a delay of more than four days after injury being statistically significant. However, after extensive discussion with our panel of professional peers, we have several salient and pertinent questions that we hope you will address:
