Bright white light emission from lanthanide oxide LaGdO3 for LED lighting by Bi3+ to Eu3+ energy transfer

A single-phased WLED device with a color-rendering index of 92.4 was successfully prepared by employing a near-ultraviolet chip and the LaGdO3:Bi3+,Eu3+ phosphors.
