An effective non-hormonal option with high tolerability for mild to moderate symptoms of vaginal dryness associated with menopause

Vaginal dryness is a typical and bothersome atrophic symptom of women with genitourinary syndrome of menopause (GSM). This chronic-progressive condition becomes clinically apparent some years after the onset of menopause [1]. As the average age of natural menopause ranges from 51 to 52  years in Germany and other industrialized countries, women over 50 years of age are most at risk of being affected by GSM [2]. Even though vaginal dryness can occur at any age, it specifically concerns women in the postmenopausal phase with a prevalence rate of>50  % [1,3,4].
