Long-Term Outcomes of Endovascular Femoropopliteal Therapy With and Without Atherectomy for Lower Extremity Arterial Ulcers

Atherectomy for the treatment for peripheral artery disease (PAD) is increasingly utilized in practice. Although the use of atherectomy has increased in the United States, there is still limited data showing its efficacy and durability compared to angioplasty and stenting alone. Our objective was to analyze long-term outcomes in patients suffering from arterial lower extremity ulcers with and without diabetes who underwent endovascular treatment for femoropopliteal disease (with and without atherectomy).
