Youth Participatory Research Needed to Keep Time Ticking Forward

I read with great interest the editorial publication entitled “Youth Participatory Research Needed to Keep Time Ticking Forward.” [1] The authors compellingly address the need for youth involvement in shaping sexual and reproductive health and rights policies, particularly in the context of rising political conservatism. This piece resonates with my experi ences and observations as a high school advocate engaged in adolescent mental health discussions, rightly pointing out the paradox of adult parliamentarians debating rights and frameworks that disproportionately affect young people, often without their direct input [1].
