Philips to launch integrated Azurion at ECR 2024

Philips is launching its integrated interventional system Azurion at ECR 2024.Azurion is the company's image-guided therapy system for the assessment of patients with stroke or other neurovascular diseases. The neuro biplane system is designed to streamline neurovascular procedures for neurointerventionists where a combination of 2D and 3D imaging is needed for diagnosis and treatment, according to the company. Azurion also now features improved x-ray detector positioning flexibility. Philips said the system is designed to optimize angio suite performance by using AI and machine learning to monitor system performance through the new remote connection services of the Philips ServiceHub.At ECR 2024, Philips will also showcase its stroke product suite, including the new neuro bioplane system for minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment of neurovascular patients, on the Blue Level, level 2. The company will also host a sustainable radiology community networking event on Thursday, February 29 in the Philips Sustainability Zone. The event will feature Reed Omary, MD, professor of radiology at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, who will be speaking on adopting digital technologies and AI. Other ECR 2024 events featuring Philips include a symposium on cloud-first and generative AI technology, helium-free MR, the company's Spectral CT 7500 and EPIQ Elite ultrasound technologies, and integrated diagnostics offerings.
