Bariatric procedures are associated with nutrient deficiencies. Studies show an association between gastric bypass (RYGB) and hypovitaminosis D as well as hyperparathyroidism, yet few compare RYGB to sleeve gastrectomy (SG), and large long-term analyses are scarce.
