Fasciculoventricular pathways as a mechanism of bundle branch block correction: An intriguing but not unfalsifiable hypothesis

His bundle pacing (HBP) can correct the electrocardiographic (ECG) appearance of left bundle branch block (LBBB) at least as effectively as biventricular pacing for cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT).1 Although more distal left-sided conduction system pacing —left bundle branch pacing—has risen to prominence in recent years, HBP-CRT’s remarkable ability to apparently normalize conduction system function in both ventricles has entrenched it as an important modality, with guideline endorsement.
