Letter to the Editor: The Use of Rifampin in Total Joint Arthroplasty: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Comparative Studies

We recently read an article in the Journal of Arthroplasty by Kruse et  al entitled: “The Use of Rifampin in Total Joint Arthroplasty: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Comparative Studies.” The authors reviewed the existing literature in evaluating and summarizing the efficacy and safety of adding rifampin to the standard of care in the treatment of peripr osthetic joint infection (PJI) [1]. However, we would like to make some observations on the subject.
