Placental site trophoblastic tumour: A case report and literature review

Introduction: Placental site trophoblastic tumour is a rare type of gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (GTN) that evolves from unrestricted proliferation of intermediate trophoblasts at placental implantation site. Its incidence is approximately 1 per 100,000 pregnancies. Together with epithelioid trophoblastic tumour they make up only 1-2% of all GTNs.
