Introduction: Hysterectomy is the most frequently performed surgery in gynecology after caesarean section. Transvaginal hysterectomy is referred to as minimally invasive procedure – it does not cause such trauma to the abdominal wall as hysterectomy performed by laparotomy, thus contributing to faster recovery and shorter stay of the patient in the hospital.
