Synthesis and Anti-VIBRIO Activity of Gallic Acid Derivatives Containing Thiosemicarbazide

In order to explore new gallic acid derivatives with high antibacterial activity, we synthesize a series of new 1-(3,4,5-trihydroxybenzoyl)-4-(substituted benzoyl)thiosemicarbazide and evaluate their activities againstVibrio harveyi,Vibrio cholerae,Vibrio parahaemolyticus, andVibrio vulnificus in vitro. Through the experiments, we found that compound7d has the best inhibitory activity againstV. harveyi andV. cholerae, the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) values were 0.0078 mg/mL and 0.0156 mg/mL; compound7h has the best inhibitory activity againstV. parahaemolyticus andV. vulnificus, with MIC values of 0.0313 mg/mL and 0.0625 mg/mL.
