Improving Turnaround Time of Noncontrast CT Head Studies in Patients with Acute Stroke
In the era of exclusively digital imaging, workflow optimization is a key quality initiative in improving patient care [1]. Multiple obstacles remain in the radiologic workflow, many well documented in the literature, including service interruptions and system inefficiencies [2]. This situation has been compounded further in recent years by an increase in study volumes and a global decrease in the number of radiologists [3,4]. Triaging studies will continue to play an ever-larger role in developing a safe and effective workflow.
