EPH101 Assessing the Relative Benefits Associated With Developing Vaccines for Nipah Virus Infection and Rift Valley Fever From Local, National, and Global Perspectives

Vaccination is a vital component of public health policy though there are many diseases for which vaccines are not available. Global health-care organizations with limited resources must make difficult choices over which vaccines to develop and where to deploy them. Here we provide a comparison between Nipah Virus Infection (NPI) and Rift Valley Fever (RVF), two diseases that have been prioritized by the WHO for R&D in public health emergency contexts.
