Wet Cough? Dry Cough? What is Your Understanding?

The Journal of Pediatrics is pleased to publish the Commentary by D.R. Liptzin et al entitled “Controversies in Antibiotic Use for Chronic Wet Cough in Children” and hope that its publication engenders discussion across the readership – from practitioners of general pediatrics and subspecialties. This Associate Editor, advocating at our biweekly meeting of the Editor-in-Chief with Asso ciate and Guest Editors to determine final acceptance of manuscripts, sparked a healthy and vigorous discussion of “chronic wet cough.”.
