Existing malnutrition screening tools fail to identify 30-60% of malnourished older hospital patients

Rationale: The GLIM identification of malnourished patients start with screening, but do the available screening tools fit into the GLIM construct? We assessed the diagnostic accuracy of five screening tools for malnutrition (SNAQ, MUST, MST, MNA-SF, PG-SGA) against the GLIM criteria in a large diverse hospitalized older population.
