Are you metacognitively aware of your food knowledge?

Rationale: Metacognition is the ability to be aware of our own behaviours and cognitive processes and to modulate them. It is assessed as our capacity to accurately evaluate our cognitive performance. We sought to demonstrate whether people have metacognition for their knowledge of foodstuffs. We expected that in the general population, people are able to accurately evaluate their knowledge of food characteristics.
