I'm thinking about working as a rural nocturnist for 3 years after residency to maximize my income and invest heavily. Is this realistic?

Here's my situation: I'm an IMG from Europe on a J1 visa. I started an IM residency at the age of 32 and will finish it at 35. Although I'm a bit older, I have a low amount of student debt (~$40,000). Single, no wife, no kids (although it's something I want in the long-term).
