Rock the Ribbon for World AIDS Day
December 1 is World AIDS Day, a day for everyone. Why is World AIDS Day important? An estimated 38 million live with the virus, and more than 35 million have died of HIV/AIDS. People with HIV can expect to live a long and healthy life. We have tools to stop HIV transmission. Unfortunately, HIV continues to be stigmatized and misunderstood.
This year’s them Rock the Ribbon calls forth the iconic red ribbon, an enduring symbol of support for those affected by HIV and AIDS.
