Inpatient versus outpatient management of prenatally diagnosed vasa praevia: a systematic review and meta-analysis

Vasa praevia is a pregnancy complication where unprotected fetal blood vessels are in close proximity or cross the internal cervical os. The most recent incidence estimate is approximately 1 in 1200 pregnancies [1] and risk factors include low-lying, succenturiate or bilobed placenta, velamentous cord insertion, in vitro fertilisation and multiple pregnancy.
