Analgesics use in young athletes

It is well documented that there is considerable use of analgesics among athletes. As long as it is part of a therapeutic plan for injuries or other complaints, this is not necessarily worrisome. However, side effects of regular and long-term use (gastric complaints and renal damage among others) speak in favour of very careful application particular at younger age.
