Comment on: Long ‐term Impact of Immediate Versus Delayed Treatment of Early Glaucoma: Results From the Early Manifest Glaucoma Trial

We read the study by Heijl and associates,1 in which they assessed the long-term visual outcomes of immediate vs delayed treatment in the 2 arms of the Early Manifest Glaucoma Trial. They concluded that delaying treatment did not result in serious penalties in terms of glaucoma-induced visual impairment between the 2 groups (immediate treatment and no initial treatment).1
