Correlation between HIP muscle strength and the lower quarter Y-BALANCE test in athletes following anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction

The lower quarter Y-balance test (YBT-LQ), which measures dynamic postural control, has been reported to be predictive of lower limb injuries in athletes. It requires subjects to control their body while maintaining a single-leg stance, which necessitates sufficient strength of the hip muscles to maintain stability. The purpose of the study was to investigate the correlation between the performance of the YBT-LQ and the hip abductor or extensor muscle strength in athletes following anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction surgery (ACLR).
