ConclusionsVolumetric remodeling of the left liver after right hepatectomy is not uniform and is mainly influenced by gender and sacrifice of middle hepatic vein. Male gender, intraoperative transfusion, and biliary tumors increase the risk of postoperative liver failure after right hepatectomy.
