For this study, you took California statewide administrative discharge data and looked at rates of documentation of social determinants of health and the associations with outcome. Assessment of social determinants of health in the past were based on population or more geographic assessments. These can now be based on ICD10 codes at the patient specific level. Your paper noted increased length of stay and in the manuscript a decrease in discharge to home with patients who had social determinants of health documented.
