4.3 Review of Psychopharmacologic Treatments for Children Displaying Disruptive Behavior

Disruptive disorders consist of conduct disorder (CD) and ODD. Currently, there are no psychopharmacological agents that are specifically used to target disruptive disorders. Multimodal interventions are often a key to addressing complex symptomatology as well as high comorbidity of disruptive disorders. Despite a lack of clear guidelines and limited data, medications are used for more severe cases. This presentation will review the role of psychopharmacological treatments of disruptive behaviors in children under the age of 6 years.
