Evaluation of health-related quality of life in the abortion care setting: a utility-score validation study

Utility preference scores are health-related quality of life measures quantifying disease burden on a scale where 0 represents death and 1 represents optimal health. They are widely used in cost-effectiveness research, but have not been validated in the abortion setting. We evaluated the validity of the EuroQol (EQ-5D-5L), the most commonly used utility system, for individuals undergoing first-trimester medication or procedural abortion.
