A fluorophore-conjugated reagent enabling rapid detection, isolation and live tracking of senescent cells
Magkouta et al. describe a marker for senescence detection (GLF16) that surpasses limitations of previously established markers (SA-β-Gal and GL13). Apart from in vitro analyses, GLF16 is particularly suitable for in vivo identification, isolation, and downstream characterization of senescent cell populati ons at the single-cell level in various biological materials.
