A Longitudinal and Repeated Cross-sectional Study on the Effectiveness of the Transition of Clinical Teaching from Traditional to Simulation Era

Critical care nursing is an advanced course in the nursing curriculum that requires mastery of fundamental nursing knowledge and skills. Nursing students must be equipped with appropriate competencies and expertise in dealing with different types of patients and conditions in the clinical setting, particularly in advanced courses such as critical care. Identifying their shortcomings and weaknesses in the learning process are important aspects of solidifying their readiness to practice. Moreover, simulation-based training permits nursing students to apply their knowledge in a realistic and risk-free environment.
