June 8 is Caribbean-American HIV/AIDS Awareness Day
On June 8, join AIDSinfo in observing Caribbean-American HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. According to the U.S Agency for International Development (USAID), outside of sub-Saharan Africa, the Caribbean region has the highest HIV prevalence in the world. Caribbean-American HIV/AIDS Awareness Day highlights the burden of HIV throughout the region and promotes the spread of information about HIV/AIDS to Caribbean Americans.
