Working well: Mitigating the impact of menopause in the workplace - A narrative evidence review

Menopause is a natural biological process that marks the end of a woman's reproductive life, typically occurring between the ages of 45 and 55 [1]. This transition begins with perimenopause, on average four to eight years before the point of menopause. During this time, hormonal changes can cause a range of symptoms, including hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, fatigue, and difficulty sleeping [2]. Menopause marks twelve-months post a woman's final period, at which point she is post-menopause [3], but many women still experience symptoms for several years.
