Cough syrup suspected of killing 12 kids in Cameroon might be Made in India

Cameroonian officials suspect a cough syrup is the cause of a dozen children ’s deaths and it appears to have been manufactured in India. An investigation showed that a manufacturing license number on a Naturcold medication box matches that of Indian-based Riemann Labs. Riemann does not believe it created the tainted medicine and suggests the possible issue could be counte rfeiting. Two other Indian firms were suspected of manufacturing similarly contaminated syrups found in Liberia and the Marshall Islands, although there were no reported injuries.
