ConclusionsThe high prevalence of polypharmacy in PLWH, especially among older adults, place these patients at high risk for clinically relevant drug –drug interactions (DDIs). A multidisciplinary approach involving physicians and clinical pharmacologists could help to optimize medication regimens associated with reduced risk.
