Social integration of people with non-psychotic mental illness over the last 2  decades: the widening gap in the adult population in Belgium

ConclusionThe gap between the social integration of people with severe non-psychotic MI and people with moderate or no MI has widened over time, despite major reforms of mental health care and policies. Policymakers and clinical practitioners should pay more attention to supporting the social integration of people with more severe MI, particularly in relation to employability and social support.
