Guidelines recommend that decisions regarding oral anticoagulation (OAC) post ablation for atrial fibrillation (AF) should be based solely on the patient ’s stroke risk profile, regardless of the outcomes of the procedure. The adherence to this recommendation in clinical practice has not been examined.
