Three-year nursing PhD curricula content among schools participating in the Future of Nursing Scholars Program

The past decade has seen a proliferation of nursing graduate programs to meet the Institute of Medicine's, now the National Academy of Medicine, call to increase the number of doctoral prepared nurses (Institute of Medicine,  2011). This call remains salient today with a renewed emphasis to produce more PhD prepared nurses, as outlined in the National Academy of Medicine's recent report, The Future of Nursing 2020-2030: Charting a Path to Achieve Health Equity (National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicin e, 2021).
