Cutis marmorata telangiectatica congenita in a newborn: A differential diagnosis

A full-term male delivered by cesarean section to a primiparous mother presented with reticular erythematous patches over the right thigh and anterolateral aspect of right-side of the chest at the time of birth. These lesions were localized and did not cross the midline; moreover, they did not disappear with warming. No hypertrophy or atrophy was detected in any limb. The patient had no history of exposure to medication during the antenatal period and no family history of vascular malformations.
