Impact of COVID-19 on Mental Health and Resiliency of Pregnant and Parenting Adolescents and Young Adults: A Qualitative Study

Since the first documented case of COVID-19 in late 2019, the pandemic has drastically altered the lives of people across the world and added new social and emotional stressors. Adjustments have included remote education, working from home, social distancing, and isolation from friends and family (Mahase, 2020; WHO Director-General's Opening Remarks at the Media Briefing on COVID-19 - 11 March 2020, 2020). Recent studies revealed increased reporting of adverse psychological symptoms due to these lifestyle adaptations in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, especially in women and young people (Duranku ş& Aksu, 2020; L ópez-Morales et al., 2021; Masjoudi et al., 2020).
