NLM Product Guides Available

The Network of the National Library of Medicine (NNLM) is excited to announce that a series of NLM product guides are now available. Each guide includes a brief description of the product, popular uses, key points, potential predicaments, teaching examples, real-life examples, and links to more resources. The NLM product guides include the following:  BLAST ClinicalTrials.gov DailyMed LactMed Drugs and Lactation Database MedlinePlus and MedlinePlus Espanola MedPix NIH Common Data Elements NIH Manuscript Submission NLM Digital Collections NLM Exhibitions NLM History of Medicine NLM Scrubber Open-i  PubChem RxNorm and RxNav The product guides are intended primarily for people in instruction or training roles such as librarians, faculty leads, or mentor researchers. The guides provide instructors with examples and ideas for teaching people about NLM products. The description and key points sections offer a summary of the product and cover important highlights. The popular uses, teaching, and real-life examples show different ways that people may use a product. This helps instructors tailor their training to different audiences and show how a product is relevant or useful in their field of work. For instance, the guide for ClinicalTrials.gov has examples of how a consumer, a researcher, and a healthcare provider might all use the website.
