The effectiveness of internal fixation in the management of acute chondral fractures. A systematic review
Chondral and osteochondral defects are common injuries in orthopedics and can cause patients to suffer from pain, functional impairment, and poor quality of life (QoL) [1 –3]. Chondral defects can be a particularly challenging clinical presentation and can predispose patients to developing degenerative joint disease. This can be especially debilitating for active adults [3–5].
