Value Added: MR of the Adnexa
MR imaging of the adnexa has become increasingly important in the diagnosis and treatment of both benign and malignant pathologies. Initial imaging with pelvic ultrasound remains the mainstay, but multimodality analysis utilizing MR imaging is a critical component to the disease-focused approach. As this type of imaging is utilized on a more widespread scale, the expectations of the radiologist have intensified as well. Our goal with this issue is to provide a primer to aid with the acquisition and interpretation of these examinations.
