Histopathological Evidence of Canalicular Agenesis in Patients With Punctal Agenesis: Punctum Update Study 2

Conclusion:

The present series did not find any histologic evidence of canalicular tissues in cases of punctal agenesis. The findings of this study do not support retrograde approaches in cases of punctal agenesis.
