Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation support in the setting of penetrating traumatic injuries

ConclusionIn this study we show penetrating traumatic injuries should not be considered a contraindication to ECMO support, and how ECMO can be a useful treatment strategy in selected patients with these injuries.
