We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter their color. —Maya AngelouThe overall racial and ethnic diversity of our nation has continued to increase, and serving our collective communities will require cultural humility, curiosity, and learning. In the 2020 census, nearly 4 out of 10 Americans identified with a race or ethnic group other than white. Ad ditional important dimensions of identity, experience, and culture enrich one another synergistically.
