An extensive simple bone cyst of the mandible: a case report
Simple bone cyst (SBC) is a pathologic cavity of uncertain origin without lining epithelium commonly located in the mandibular marrow space. A 14-year-old White boy presented with an asymptomatic lesion in the right mandible that extended from the root of the canine to the first premolar. Radiographic examination revealed a radiolucent and unilocular lesion affecting the right mandible. Cone beam computed tomography showed slight expansion and thinning of the cortical margin with well-defined borders and scalloping contour among roots of involved teeth.
